Established in the Exum Community in 1888, New Life Baptist Church continues to be fixed upon the firm foundation of The Gospel of a Risen Savior. We believe that The Holy Bible is divinely written by God by speaking to its authors, and that God’s Word is the one Truth upon which we may rely and from which we may learn to live.
Our belief is that we, as sinners, have been saved solely by GRACE when Jesus atoned for our sins through his crucifixtion and resurrection. We are, therefore, justified and pardoned of our transgressions simply by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We cannot work or earn this wonderful gift of salvation, but we may accept it freely upon our repentance of sin and embracing the total sanctification of our sins and our lives’ magnificent transformations. Living by the Will of God, our purpose is to then share Jesus with everyone we see! That includes you!

Ladies’ Bible Study Ministry
The ladies of New Life Baptist Church began a Bible study focusing on “Twelve Women of the Bible: Life-Changing Stories for Women Today” based on teachings from Lysa Terkeurst and a host of other women presenters. They meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month and also present the meeting via a closed group of Facebook Live. If you are interested in this transformative and enlightening study, please contact Lorie Lovingood via newlifebaptistashnc@gmail.com for an invitation to join the group, or simply come to a study meeting! Our discussions are full of deep conversation, realization that we’re not alone, and love for each other.
Community Outreach
Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Campaign
NLBC has a goal each year to pack at least 100 shoeboxes for the children in this ministry. It is always an exciting challenge to “stuff” all the goodies and share the love of Christ with children across the world!
Easter Blessing Bags for Seniors
On Good Friday, members of NLBC were able to present Easter Blessing Bags to residents of Brunswick Nursing & Rehab Center in Ash, NC. They were able to talk with and pray with many, and share God’s love.
Hunters’ Breakfast
The men of NLBC hope to gather and cook breakfast for the hunters of our Exum/Ash Community to kick off the upcoming deer hunting season, beginning October 12th, 2024! More info to come!

2. God the Father reigns over all and is omnipotent and omnipresent.

God the Son walked upon earth in human form as Jesus Christ, and although he lived the perfect life, he accepted his destiny of a substitutionary death on the cross so that all of mankind could have a provision for redemption of their sin. Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day, then ascended to Heaven where he was exalted at the right hand of God the Father. Christ has promised to return again in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate his redemptive mission.
3. God the Holy Sprit is fully divine. He inspired men to write Scriptures, He exalts Christ. convicts men of sin and righteousness, and of judgment. Further, the Holy Spirit dwells within the Christian to live out his faith, to cultivate his Christian character, share his spiritual gifts and to reach others for Christ’s Kingdom.
